Mercedes ML Transmission Issues and Radiator Oil Pressure

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll check the cable and plug. Where exactly is the radiator oil pressure sensor located? I'm not super familiar with the ML's layout. Also, if it is the sensor, is that something I can reasonably do myself, or is it best left to a professional? I'm pretty handy, but I don't want to mess anything up worse.

The sensor location can vary. The best approach is to refer to the service manual specific to your ML. As for DIY versus professional repair, given the transmission symptoms, I would advise taking it to a workshop. A misdiagnosis could cause further damage. It's better to have it properly diagnosed and fixed.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a shop and they confirmed it was a faulty sensor and some corroded wiring. Total cost for radiator repair was 95€ including parts and labor. Appreciate the help!

Sounds like a serious issue. A faulty radiator oil pressure sensor can definitely cause those symptoms. Check the cable and plug connection first as the error suggests. Look for any signs of damage or corrosion. If that seems fine, the sensor itself might be the problem. It's all related - transmission, radiator, and oil cooler. Ignoring it could lead to bigger problems.
