Mercedes R Klasse IAT Sensor Issue

IAT sensor, huh? I had a similar issue with my Mercedes. Reduced power, rough running, like the engine was struggling. Did you check the wiring to the IAT sensor? Sometimes it's a broken or corroded wire. Also, what's the exact error code?

Thanks for the reply! I checked the wiring quickly, but I'll look again. The error code is P0113 - Intake Air Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit High Input. Does that mean anything?

P0113… yeah, that's the IAT sensor. High input means the ECU isn't getting a signal. Could still be wiring, but the sensor is suspect. Like a bad thermostat. If you're not comfortable, take it to a workshop. The part isn't too expensive. They can confirm and replace it. Cost me around 155€.

You were right! Got the R Klasse back from the garage. New IAT sensor, and it runs great. They charged me 155€ like you said. Thanks for the help!
