Thanks for the quick reply I haven't seen excessive smoke but I'll check those car sensors you mentioned Is there an easy way to test those sensors myself or do I need specialized equipment Also if it is the injector is it possible to just replace the one that's defective or do they usually recommend replacing them all at once

Testing those sensors properly usually requires a multimeter and some understanding of wiring diagrams and expected voltage ranges Not really a DIY job for a novice As for the injectors replacing just the faulty one can be done but it's generally recommended to replace them as a set The others might be nearing the end of their lifespan and you'll want consistent fuel injection across all cylinders for optimal performance and fuel economy Considering the error and your symptoms a trip to a trusted workshop is probably the best bet

Appreciate the input I took it to the shop and you were right it was a defective injector They replaced it and the engine runs smooth again The final bill was 515€ including labor They advised to monitor fuel consumption Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction

Sounds like a plausible diagnosis Drift compensation is all about managing slight variations in injector performance A faulty injector throws that off hence the rough running Have you noticed any other symptoms like excessive smoke Before condemning the injector it might be worth checking the car sensors related to fuel injection – fuel pressure sensor MAF sensor etc A faulty sensor can sometimes mimic injector problems and trigger similar error codes A system reset might not fix hardware issues but could help recalibrate after addressing the root cause
