Mercedes S Klasse Diesel Intermittent Starting Problem

Has anyone experienced an intermittent starting issue with a 2021 Mercedes S Klasse Diesel showing 245173 kilometers? Diagnostics show an interruption of the Terminal 15 ignition positive, suggesting a defective cable or plug. Any advice on where to look, like the fuse box or battery terminal? Could it be a circuit break or the starter solenoid? Repair is estimated at 95€.

Terminal 15 issues are annoying. I had a similar problem with my S Klasse, engine wouldn't crank sometimes. Did you check the fuses first? Which fuse box is the terminal 15 fuse located in?

I checked the fuses. Which fuse box are you referring to? Is there a secondary fuse box location I might have missed, one more directly associated with the Terminal 15 circuit?

Yeah, I had a similar intermittent starting issue. It ended up being a loose connection. Honestly, I just took it to a workshop. They sorted it out quickly, so I would recommend going that route.

Thanks for sharing. It seems that the loose connection was the key. I found a slightly corroded connector at the starter solenoid. A thorough cleaning and application of dielectric grease seems to have resolved the issue. Thanks for the guidance.
