Mercedes SLC Diesel Engine Misfire Problem

My 2016 Mercedes SLC diesel is throwing a fit. Check engine light is on, the engine's running rough, stalls at idle, and jerks like crazy when I accelerate. Mileage is sitting at 220759 km. Suspect it's the fuel pressure sensor acting up. Any ideas before I start tearing things apart? Thinking it could be a dodgy cable or plug connection. Anyone else experienced similar engine misfire issues?

I am familiar with Mercedes SLC vehicles and I understand your concern. A similar issue manifested on my vehicle recently. Have you inspected the fuel pump relay or the fuel filter? A clogged filter can mimic pressure sensor failure symptoms.

Fuel filter's relatively new, but the fuel pump relay is a good shout. Where's that located, exactly? And did the rough idle clear up immediately after you sorted the pressure sensor?

The fuel pump relay location may vary slightly; consult your owner's manual for precise identification. My recommendation would be to visit a qualified workshop for a thorough diagnosis. I believe this will resolve your issue quickly.

It was indeed the fuel pressure sensor. The cable and plug looked fine but swapping out the sensor did the trick. Check engine light's gone, no more rough idle or jerking. Cost me 95€ for the part. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
