Mercedes SLC malfunction indicator and ECU coding issue

I've seen something similar in my SLC. The fault code also indicated a coding problem. Did your scan tool give you a specific fault code number?

Yes, the scan tool showed several fault codes, mainly about the ECU configuration. When you had this issue, did you try any recoding yourself, or did you go straight to a technician?

With how complex these systems are now, and the risk of messing things up, I wouldn't try recoding it yourself. I took mine to a workshop. It was the best way to handle it.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and they confirmed the coding was off. Recoding the ECU fixed the error and the warning lights. Thanks for the help.
