Mercedes SLC parking assist issue

My 2016 Mercedes SLC diesel parking assist system has stopped working at 224232 km. The error memory shows a fault code related to the parking aid system. Fuses are OK. I suspect a cable or connector issue in the parking sensor circuit, including the parking sensors, rearview camera, blind spot sensors, proximity sensors, or radar sensors. Has anyone experienced something similar? I estimate a 95€ repair cost. Any advice before I start removing the bumpers?

I had a similar issue with my SLC. The parking sensors went haywire. They beeped intermittently when nothing was there, then stopped working. Are only the rear parking sensors affected, or the front ones too? Did you check the wiring harness near the sensors for damage?

I'll check the wiring harness near the sensors. All parking sensors, front and rear, are affected. The rearview camera and blind spot monitoring work fine. Where else did you focus your investigation? Was it wiring, or a faulty control module?

My issue was a corroded connector on a rear parking sensor. The corrosion spread up the wire. A shop diagnosed it and replaced part of the harness. Since all your sensors are out, and the rearview camera works, have the control module checked if you find no damaged cables. A diagnostic might cost close to your 95€ budget.

Thanks for the input. I took it to a workshop. It was a damaged wire harness caused by wear. The cost was my estimated 95€. Everything works now.
