Mercedes Sprinter emergency call failure

Has anyone experienced an emergency call failure on a 2022 Mercedes Sprinter diesel? I have 82053 km on the clock and this error popped up. The speedometer shows a warning light and an error message. Diagnostic codes point to a potential issue with the emergency call system. Fault memory has an error stored. I suspect it's a defective cable or plug connection somewhere in the system, what do you think?

Oh dear, a call failure How frustrating I have a Sprinter too, I think this happened to me once. Is the SOS signal affected as well? This telematics stuff is frankly beyond me, but I wouldn't know where to begin looking for a defective cable. I would be worried about messing something up.

Yeah, the SOS signal seems to be affected. Is that what happened with yours? Did you also have diagnostic codes related to the control module? Do you remember anything specific about the issue you encountered?

Yes, if I recall correctly, the SOS signal was indeed affected. I remember being quite concerned about it at the time. I am not sure about control module diagnostic codes, but my vehicle had to go to the workshop. Sorry I can't be more help

Thanks for sharing your experience I appreciate the insight. Turns out it was indeed a faulty plug connection, just like the diagnostic suggested. A quick repair, cost me 95€ to have it sorted. All good now
