Mercedes V Klasse fuel door issue
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Mercedes V Klasse developed a fault where the fuel flap release stopped working, and other vehicle functions became unavailable. The issue was suspected to be a defective linkage on the electric actuator. A similar problem was resolved by replacing the faulty electric actuator, which was confirmed by another owner who experienced the same issue. The solution involved replacing the actuator and clearing the error code, restoring normal function.

Thanks for the quick reply! The release button is completely dead. I suspect an electrical fault, maybe with the lock actuator itself. Did yours also throw an error code? Was it just the actuator or something else?

Yeah, mine did throw an error code. I tried fiddling with it myself, but ended up taking it to a workshop. Turns out the electric actuator was kaput. They replaced it, cleared the code, and it's been fine since. Best get it checked properly!

Appreciate the confirmation! I suspected the electric actuator. Got it sorted at the shop today. Exactly as you said, lock actuator failure. Repair cost me around 210€. All systems nominal now. Thanks again for the help!

Hey, I had a similar problem with my V Klasse. Check the electric actuator for the fuel door lock. It's a common issue. Is the release button inside the car doing anything at all, or is it completely dead?
