Mercedes X Klasse Diesel Uneven Idling and Engine Mount Issue

My Mercedes X Klasse built in 2020 with a diesel engine exhibits uneven idling. The error memory indicates a defective engine mount. Considering that a defective cable or plug connection is the likely cause, could this explain the concurrent vibration issues and premature mount wear?

Hey, I had a similar problem with my old BMW. It turned out to be a failed mount – specifically the transmission mount. Are you experiencing any excessive vibrations when shifting gears? It could also be a sign of a failed mount.

Vibrations are present, yes. But are you suggesting the transmission mount, rather than the engine mount itself, could be the source of the stored error and uneven idle?

Well, in my case, the vibration transferred throughout the car, making it hard to pinpoint. A defective engine mount could definitely cause the issues you're seeing. Given the error code, it's probably best to get it checked out by a workshop.

Understood. The issue was indeed traced to a defective connection on the engine mount, as initially suspected. Replacement cost was 95€ Thank you for your input.
