Micra Washer Fluid Warning Light

Hey, I've got a 2007 Nissan Micra with a gasoline engine and a really annoying issue. The washer fluid low warning light is constantly on, and now the windshield washer system isn't working at all! Error is even stored in the error memory! I checked the fluid level and it seemed low so I filled it up, but the light's still there and the washers are dead. Any ideas?

Summary of the thread

A 2007 Nissan Micra owner experienced a persistent washer fluid low warning light and a non-functional windshield washer system. Despite refilling the washer fluid, the issue persisted, and an error was stored in the system's memory. The problem was identified as a corroded connection to the pump, which was resolved by a local shop for a small fee.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Whoa, that sounds super familiar! I've got a Micra too, and I had the exact same problem. Did you check the pump itself? Mine was totally clogged!

Clogged pump, huh? How much work was it to get to the pump? Did you replace it yourself or take it somewhere?

Okay, in my case, it was the same damn thing! It ended up being a corroded connection. Honestly, you should just have a workshop take a look. It's a pain to diagnose those things if you're not super familiar with the system.

Thanks for the tip! I took it to a local shop, and you were right. It was a dodgy connection to the pump and water level too low! They fixed it for 25€, so all good now!
