Thank you for your response. No, there have been no recent modifications or repairs. I'm concerned about the battery replacement cost. Could a simple recharge address the voltage drop, or is a battery replacement inevitable based on the symptoms?

Given the age and symptoms described, a battery replacement is likely necessary. While a recharge may temporarily improve the situation, the underlying problem of a failing battery will persist, and you'll likely experience the same issues again soon. The battery likely cannot hold charge anymore. Considering the potential for further car electronics malfunctions due to low voltage, I would advise getting it checked by a workshop.

Just wanted to update the thread. I followed the advice and took the Mini to a service. The diagnosis confirmed the auxiliary battery was indeed faulty. After the battery replacement, the error messages disappeared and the car electronics are working normally again. The voltage drop is gone. Thank you for the advice.

A Mini Cabrio exhibiting those symptoms certainly points to potential auxiliary power issues. The error message and starting problems suggest low voltage. Has there been any recent work or modifications to the car electronics?
