Mini Cabrio Navigation Problem

My 2013 Mini Cabrio has a navigation problem. The system reports no GPS reception, and the error memory stores a corresponding fault. From what I've gathered, a defective GPS antenna is the likely cause. Is this a common issue with these cars? I'm estimating around 200€ for repair.

GPS antenna issues can be tricky! I had a similar issue with my Mini Cabrio. Is the error message persistent, or does it come and go? Have you checked for any obvious signal interference, like a phone mount or dashcam too close to the antenna?

Is there a way to test the antenna myself before replacing it?

If the error's constant and you've ruled out interference, it really does sound like the antenna itself. Honestly, testing it without specialized tools is tough. A workshop visit might be best to confirm the diagnosis before you start replacing parts.

It was indeed the GPS antenna. Replacement cost me around 200€.
