Mini Cabrio Oil Pressure Warning

When you say check the connections, are we talking about a visual inspection, or is there some kind of voltage test I should be doing? I've only done a quick visual check, looking for obvious damage.

Alright, you've already suspected a faulty sensor, AND you've got the low oil pressure light on? That's not ideal. I wouldn't drive it much, if at all, until you get it sorted. A visual inspection is a good start, but honestly, without proper diagnostic tools, it's tough to be sure. If you're seeing the oil pressure light, that means the engine isn't getting enough oil, which is bad news. Given everything, probably best to get it to a workshop ASAP. That 95€ repair cost seems reasonable IF it's just a sensor issue. Good luck!

Thanks for the confirmation. It was indeed the oil level sensor; the workshop visit confirmed the diagnosis. Replaced the faulty sensor, and the error is gone. Exactly 95€, as expected.

Whoa, oil pressure warning light is scary! It sounds like your Mini Cabrio is throwing a fit. I mean, you've got all the classic symptoms of a faulty sensor – error message, warning light, the whole shebang! Defective cable or plug? Seriously, couldn't they make these things a bit more robust? You've checked the connections yourself, right? Like, triple-checked? 'Cause sometimes it's the simple things that bite you. Is the oil level actually okay, or is the sensor just being a drama queen? Keep us updated!
