Mini Cabrio Radar Sensor Issues

Thanks for the quick reply! Where exactly is the radar sensor located on the Mini? And how easy is it to access to check for dirt? I'm not super mechanically inclined, but I'm willing to take a look myself if it's not too complicated. Also, the battery seems ok, I haven't noticed any issues with it. Why do you ask about it?

Ok, so on my Countryman, the radar sensor is located in the front bumper, usually behind the grille. I'm not 100% sure about the Cabrio, but I would guess it's in a similar spot. Accessing it might require removing part of the bumper, which can be a bit tricky if you don't have experience. Given that you're seeing failures in multiple safety systems, it's probably best to have a professional take a look. If the sensor is indeed dirty, they can clean it and recalibrate the system. It could save you time and potential further issues. My battery question was just because sometimes low voltage can trigger weird error messages in modern cars with lots of electronics.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you for your help! Turns out you were spot on. I took my Mini Cabrio to the workshop, and they said the radar sensor was just really dirty. They cleaned it, cleared the error codes, and everything is working perfectly again. Cost me just 45€! I'm so relieved it wasn't anything more serious and that all my driving assistance systems are back online.

That sounds frustrating! I have a similar Mini, a Countryman, and I experienced something similar a while back. The error messages and warning lights are definitely unsettling. It could be a few things, but the fact that it happened after driving in bad weather makes me think of the radar sensor. Have you checked to see if it's visibly dirty or obstructed? It might be worth a look before you take it to a mechanic. I'm not sure if it is related, but how is your battery?
