Mini Clubman AC Issue
Summary of the thread
The 2014 Mini Clubman had an air conditioning issue where the system wouldn't switch on, suspected to be caused by undervoltage. Possible causes considered were the AC relay or pressure sensor. A similar issue was shared, suggesting the pressure sensor might be faulty. After professional diagnosis, the problem was confirmed to be related to undervoltage, and once addressed, the AC system functioned correctly.

Thank you for your reply. When you say pressure switch, do you mean the pressure sensor that regulates the A/C system, or is it a separate component? Also, how did you diagnose the issue on your Renault?

Yes, I meant the pressure sensor. I didn't diagnose it myself, I took it to a workshop. They mentioned the pressure sensor was sending incorrect readings, causing the A/C compressor to shut off to protect the A/C system. Given the undervoltage error you have, I'd recommend having the A/C system checked professionally.

I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. I took the car to a workshop, and it seems the undervoltage was indeed the culprit. They addressed the issue, and the A/C system is now functioning correctly. The bill came to 240€. Thank you again for your assistance.

Sounds like a similar issue I had with my old Renault. The air conditioning would suddenly stop working, and it turned out to be a faulty pressure switch in the A/C system. Have you checked the AC relay and pressure sensor? It's like a fuse blowing in your house, sometimes it's the fuse itself, sometimes it's a bigger problem.
