Mini Clubman AC problem

I am writing to inquire about a problem I am experiencing with the air conditioning system in my 2016 Mini Clubman. The air conditioning no longer provides cooling, and the system does not seem to activate at all. From my own investigation, a likely cause is a defect in individual valves within the air conditioning system itself. I am anticipating a repair cost in the neighborhood of 1000€. Has anyone encountered a similar issue, and could offer advice on AC diagnostics or potential solutions?

Sounds like a bummer! I had a similar issue with my Clubman. First thing I'd check is the AC relay. They're cheap and easy to replace. Any weird AC noise before it died? Also, might be worth checking the pressure switch and looking for a refrigerant leak.

Yup, definitely a refrigerant leak in my case too. I didn't catch any AC noise, it just kinda stopped working one day. Honestly, I'd get it to a workshop that can do proper AC diagnostics. Could be more than just the relay.

Many thanks for the helpful feedback. I took the Mini Clubman to a workshop for AC diagnostics, and they confirmed a defect in the valves. The refrigerant was also found to be leaking. The repair came to 1000€ as anticipated, but at least the AC is working again.
