Thank you for your response. I have not logged the boost pressure. I am not familiar with that process. Could you please elaborate on the method you employed to diagnose the actuator valve? Any specific tools or software you found particularly useful in pinpointing the fault? How did you solve this issue?

Based on your description, the defective electrical bypass valve is likely the root cause of your symptoms. I didn't fix the issue myself, but I took my car to a workshop, they confirmed that the actuator valve was defective and replaced it. Given your symptoms, I recommend consulting with a qualified mechanic to perform a comprehensive diagnostic assessment. They possess the necessary expertise and equipment to accurately diagnose and rectify the issue.

Thank you for your insights. It seems that you have indeed experienced a similar issue. I took the Mini Clubman to a local workshop, and they confirmed that the electrical bypass valve was defective. The repair cost came to 250€. I appreciate your assistance in this matter.

I had a similar issue with my Mini Clubman. Check engine light illuminated, accompanied by a noticeable reduction in engine power and a disconcerting whistling sound during acceleration. I suspect the boost pressure actuator valve. Have you examined the pressure sensor for any anomalies? Additionally, have you logged the actual boost pressure versus the target boost pressure? It would be interesting to see if there is any correlation.
