Interesting! So, if I understand correctly, the intake hose was the culprit for you too? Was your hissing constant, or only noticeable during acceleration? Any chance you remember which error code you got? I'm trying to narrow it down before I start tearing things apart.

Yep, intake hose was definitely the issue. The hissing was only when I put my foot down. Honestly, I can't remember the exact code, but the garage said it pointed to a leak in the intake system. If you're not sure where to start, maybe get it checked by a workshop before you start replacing parts. Good luck!

Update time The hissing was indeed a cracked intake hose! Replaced it myself for around 100€ parts and labor included. Fuel consumption is back to normal and the check engine light is gone. Thanks for the help

Whoa that sounds familiar! I had something similar happen with my Clubman, though I can't remember the exact mileage. Loud hissing, check engine light the whole shebang. Did you check the intake hose between the turbocharger and the throttle body? That's where my leak was. High fuel consumption too, like yours.
