Mini Clubman Siren Communication Fault

Strange one. I had something similar happen with my Clubman, alarm going haywire and throwing errors. First thing, have you checked all the connections to the siren itself? It's a long shot, but could be a loose wire. Also, did you try an alarm reset? Did the error come back immediately?

Alarm reset, huh? I haven't tried that. Where exactly is the siren located? And what's the procedure for an alarm reset on these?

Yeah, the siren's a pain to get to, buried somewhere in the wheel arch. As for the reset, I don't know the exact sequence by heart. I didn't bother messing with it too much myself. I bit the bullet and took mine to the shop. Sounds like we had the exact same signal problem. Best to get it checked professionally.

Just wanted to give you an update. Took it in, and it was indeed a defective plug connection, like the error memory said. 95€ later, the alarm's back online. Thanks for the heads up, man. Appreciate it.
