Mini Clubman starting issue
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Mini Clubman is experiencing starting issues, where the engine either refuses to start or starts briefly before cutting out. The suspected cause is a problem with the immobilizer, which is part of the car's anti-theft system. The issue was resolved by reprogramming the key at a workshop, which suggests that incorrect key programming was the root cause.

An error is stored alright You mention a dodgy immobilizer What exactly does that entail Is it part of the anti-theft system or the remote start perhaps

Yes the car immobilizer is part of the anti-theft system and works with the ignition control unit It's likely the key programming is incorrect causing the immobilizer fault Best get it checked at a workshop

Sounds like a dodgy immobilizer fault I had similar issues with my old Vauxhall Corsa The engine would cut out after a few seconds Is there an error code showing up?
