Mini Cooper Anti Theft System Malfunction

I had a similar issue with my Mini. I also have an alarm control module. Is there an error code associated with the anti-theft system? The immobilizer might also be involved.

Yes, there is an error stored in the error memory, but the alarm system is without function. What was the fix for your car alarm?

Mine was also a false alarm issue. After some diagnostics, the workshop recoded the alarm system. It might be worth getting it checked by someone who knows these systems.

Thanks for the help. Turns out the alarm system was coded to activate optical locking, which wasn't working right. Fixed it for 45€ at the workshop.
