Mini Cooper Diesel Engine Power Loss and Limp Mode Issues

I own a 2010 Mini Cooper with a Diesel engine and 52,000 km on the clock. Recently, I've been experiencing a loss of engine power, and the car has gone into limp mode. Initially, I had an engine light on, along with smoke and other issues. I discovered a broken vacuum hose, which I replaced, and then cleared the codes. However, the engine still won't rev beyond 2500 rpm, although there are no warning lights now. I have two codes related to flow plugs. What could be causing these issues, and how should I proceed to fix them?

Summary of the thread

A 2010 Mini Cooper Diesel is experiencing power loss and entering limp mode, initially accompanied by an engine light and smoke. A broken vacuum hose was replaced, resolving the warning lights, but the engine still won't rev beyond 2500 rpm. Two codes related to flow plugs are present. A suggested solution is to check and clean the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor, as it may impact engine performance and cause limp mode. If cleaning doesn't resolve the issue, testing or replacing the MAF sensor is recommended.

Start by checking the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor, as it can affect engine performance and cause limp mode. Ensure it's clean and functioning properly. If cleaning doesn't help, consider testing or replacing it. Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions!
