Yes, that's correct regarding the error memory, I used an OBD II scanner to retrieve the code I should have mentioned that in my original post The error code that came up was P0087 - Fuel Rail System Pressure - Too Low Does this code confirm that the fuel system is the issue What are the next steps for troubleshooting

Yes, P0087 indicates low fuel rail pressure, consistent with your symptoms Since gasoline delivery is affected, the cable and plug connection might be the culprit as suspected Consider checking the fuel pump relay and its wiring as well If you are not confident performing these checks, it is always recommended to get a qualified car mechanics to check the fuel system

Thank you for your detailed explanation I appreciate your help in understanding the fuel system better Turns out, you were absolutely right I checked the cable and plug connection myself, and it indeed had corrosion Cleaned it all up, and the Mini is purring like a kitten again Total cost: 95€ for some contact cleaner I'm glad I didn't immediately jump to replacing the entire fuel pump

The symptoms you describe certainly point to a fuel delivery issue Does 'error stored in the error memory' mean a diagnostic trouble code DTC was retrieved using an OBD II scanner Can you provide the exact code number Understanding the specific code will help pinpoint the problem
