Mini Cooper Diesel rough engine running

I present a technical inquiry regarding my 2020 Mini Cooper Diesel, currently exhibiting kilometers. The vehicle manifests rough engine running, accompanied by the illumination of the check engine light and a stored error pertaining to 'reset quantity drift compensation'. Preliminary diagnostics suggest a potential fault within an injection valve or injector. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Rough engine running and a check engine light sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Mini Cooper, though I can't say for sure it's exactly the same. Have you checked the car sensors related to fuel injection? Could be a faulty sensor messing with the drift compensation. How's your fuel consumption been lately?

I appreciate the insight. Regarding the car sensors, could you specify which ones you are referring to? Also, did you experience any issues with performance tuning or engine stalling?

Yes, the stalling was occasional but definitely there. I’m not a mechanic, but the sensors I was thinking of are the fuel rail pressure sensor and the oxygen sensor. I'd recommend getting it checked by a workshop with diagnostic tools. They can pinpoint the exact injector and confirm if it's causing the drift compensation issue.

Acknowledged and grateful for the input. Subsequent diagnostic procedures validated the injector fault. The reset quantity drift compensation has been successfully performed post injector replacement at a cost of 515€. The engine now runs smoothly, and the error has been cleared.
