Mini Cooper Oil Level Sensor Signal Faulty

My 2018 Mini Cooper is throwing some concerning errors. The oil level sensor signal seems to be faulty. I'm getting an error message in the speedometer, a warning light, and the oil pressure warning lamp keeps lighting up. The error memory also confirms the issue. I've read that a defective cable or plug connection is a likely cause. Car maintenance is important to me, but I'm not sure where to start. I don't want to make any wrong moves. What would you do?

I had a similar issue with my Mini Cooper. The oil pressure warning lamp lit up, and there was an error message. Have you checked the oil level manually with the dipstick, or is the oil gauge the only thing giving you trouble?

I only checked the oil gauge. Where exactly was the faulty connection on your car?

Mine was the connection right at the oil level sensor itself. It was corroded. I'd recommend getting it checked out at a workshop if you're not comfortable doing it yourself. It's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to engine oil and oil pressure.

Appreciate the advice. Turns out it was indeed a faulty connection, just as you suspected. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted. Thanks again for the help.
