Mini Countryman ABS and Traction Control Problems

I am experiencing a rather concerning issue with my 2019 Mini Countryman Hybrid. The ABS lamp illuminates on the dashboard, and I am encountering traction control problems, ultimately leading to ABS system failure. The diagnostic points towards a speed signal fault, potentially indicating a defective control unit. Has anyone encountered a similar malfunction?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Mini Countryman. The ABS light on the dashboard was constantly lit, and the traction control was going crazy. Did you check the ABS sensors?

Yes, I checked the ABS sensors, and they seem to be working fine. The diagnostic tool points towards a speed signal malfunction and suggests the ECM might be faulty. Did you experience similar diagnostic results?

Yep, the diagnostic pointed to the control unit being defective in my case as well. It's not a cheap fix. My advice is to take it to a reliable workshop; they should be able to confirm the issue and replace the faulty unit.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I took your advice and visited my local workshop. They confirmed the defective control unit. After replacement, the speed signal fault is gone. It cost me about 1000€, but now my Mini Countryman is running smoothly again.
