Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, the check engine light is on. I haven't checked the codes yet, but I will. Regarding the hoses, is there a specific area I should pay close attention to? Like, near the MAP sensor or throttle body?

That hissing noise is a classic sign of a boost leak. Think of it like a punctured bicycle tire. The pressure has to go somewhere. If the check engine light is on, get the codes read. But the wastegate valve is a definite possibility, especially with those symptoms. It might be time to visit a workshop for a proper diagnosis.

I appreciate your help in pinpointing the issue! Turns out it was a faulty wastegate valve, just as you suspected. Had it replaced, and the boost is back to normal. The total cost was 860€. Thanks again for your assistance!

Reduced engine power and whistling? Sounds like a boost leak. Check all your hoses connected to the intercooler. A tear can cause all sorts of problems. Is the check engine light on? Have you pulled the codes to see what triggered it?
