Mini Countryman Electric Windshield Washer Issue

I had a similar issue with my Countryman. Frozen spray nozzles are no fun, especially in winter. The windshield heater not working could definitely be the culprit. Have you checked the washer motor itself? Sometimes they can get clogged, especially if you're not using the right kind of washer fluid.

Thanks for the quick response! I haven't checked the washer motor directly. Where is it located, and what exactly should I be looking for? Is it difficult to access? Also, what do you mean by 'the right kind of washer fluid'? I just use whatever I find at the gas station.

The washer motor is usually located near the bottom of the washer fluid reservoir. You'll likely need to remove a wheel well liner to access it. As for the fluid, using a fluid specifically designed for cold temperatures is important. Regular water can freeze and damage the system. If the error code points to the windshield heater and the nozzles are freezing, it's highly likely the heater isn't working. Given the cost you mentioned, it's probably just a defective cable or plug connection as suspected. Therefore, you may want to get it checked by a workshop.
