Mini Countryman Hybrid AC Issue

I address you today with a matter of considerable concern regarding my 2019 Mini Countryman Hybrid. With a recorded mileage of 144294 kilometers, the air conditioning system has ceased to provide thermal regulation. Specifically, the system fails to initiate cooling, indicating a complete lack of operational functionality. Preliminary assessment suggests a potential defect within individual valves governing refrigerant flow. To draw an analogy, it's akin to a valve failing to open in a water pipe. Has anyone encountered a similar issue? I anticipate the eventual repair cost to be in the neighborhood of 1000€.

Sounds like a few things could be happening. Have you checked the AC relay? Sometimes those go bad. Also, maybe there's a refrigerant leak; listen for any hissing AC noise when the system is on. Is the blower motor working properly?

Regarding the AC relay, could you elaborate on its location within the vehicle's electrical system, and any specific testing methodology you might recommend? Furthermore, concerning potential refrigerant leakage, would the presence of a telltale oily residue typically accompany such an occurrence? How would I test the blower motor?

Okay, I am not an expert like you, but it does sound like a valve problem. If you've checked those other things, and you suspect that strongly, probably best to get it to a workshop. They can test the pressure switch too, in case that's the culprit.

I appreciate you taking the time to confirm my suspicions. The predicted cause was indeed accurate; a faulty valve within the system. The repair set me back approximately 1000€. I'll mark this matter as resolved.
