Mini Countryman Hybrid Brake Pedal Feedback
Summary of the thread
The initial concern was strange feedback from the brake pedal of a 2022 Mini Countryman Hybrid, raising worries about a potential brake system issue. A possible cause suggested was damage to the brake calipers or an undervoltage issue affecting the brake system. The recommended solution was to have the vehicle checked at a workshop, where it was confirmed that undervoltage had damaged the brake system, necessitating the replacement of disc brakes and brake shoes.

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't checked the brake calipers myself, not really my area of expertise. I mostly do city driving, short distances, but I also do some longer trips on the highway every now and then. What was the issue with yours, and what did you do to fix it?

City driving is known to wear out brake shoes faster. Mine turned out to be an undervoltage issue affecting the whole brake system. Get it to a workshop, they will be able to tell for sure.

Just wanted to update you: The workshop confirmed it. Some undervoltage fried the brake system. Had to replace the disc brakes and brake shoes. Cost me 240€. Thanks for the heads-up!

Strange feedback from the brake pedal could be a few things. Have you checked the brake calipers for any signs of damage? I had similar squeaky brakes with my Countryman. What kind of driving do you usually do?
