Interesting, where is the AC relay located? And how would I check for a refrigerant leak? I'm not much of a mechanic myself.

Honestly, I didn’t get my hands dirty. I'm not that confident working on the A/C system myself. The garage sorted it. If you're not sure, I'd say take it to a workshop. Could save you a lot of hassle in the long run.

Took the Mini to a workshop, they found an undervoltage problem. Seems the A/C compressor was shutting off because of it. They sorted it out, cost me 240€. Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it.

Sounds familiar! I had a similar problem with my Mini. The A/C system would just out of nowhere cut out. Have you checked the AC relay? I remember someone mentioning that the pressure switch can also cause issues if there's a refrigerant leak. It's a pain when the HVAC system acts up, especially in summer!
