Mini One airbag warning light constantly on

I'm experiencing an issue with the airbag system in my 2011 Mini One. The airbag warning lamp, the SRS light, illuminates constantly in the speedometer. The car only has a few kilometers. Could this be a simple fuse issue, or is it something more serious? I'm worried about unintended airbag deployment.

That's a tricky one. I had a similar issue with my Mini, and the SRS light was constantly on. Did you check the crash sensor connections? Sometimes a loose wire can trigger the error. Could it be a potential airbag recall issue?

I haven't checked the crash sensor connections myself. Where exactly are those located, and is it something I can easily inspect without special tools? Is airbag deployment a risk?

I wouldn't recommend messing with the crash sensors yourself, especially worrying about airbag deployment. It's too risky. In my case, it ended up being a faulty connection that the workshop sorted out. Is it worth a visit to a professional for proper airbag repair?

Thank you for sharing your experience. I took the Mini to the workshop, and they found a defective plug connection in the passenger airbag. The airbag repair cost 95€, and the SRS light is finally off. Appreciate the help!
