Mini One Climate Control Panel Issue

Yeah, in my Volvo it was giving completely erratic readings. The control panel was getting incorrect information, which threw everything off and, like with you, the AC wouldn't kick in. The mechanic traced it back to a faulty connection in the wiring harness near the temperature sensor. You could try checking the power supply to the climate control unit first. If you aren't confident I'd recommend getting it checked at a workshop to prevent further damage.

Volvo huh? Interesting. When you say temperature sensor, what exactly was the problem? Was it totally dead, or just giving bad readings? I'm just trying to narrow down where to start looking on my Mini One.

Local mechanic checked it out. Turns out it was a dodgy connection on the climate control panel wiring harness, like you suspected. 95€ later and it's all sorted. Thanks for the help.

Sounds like a power supply issue to the climate control. I had something similar happen on my old Volvo, though it was the temperature sensor that was causing the chaos. Check the wiring harness for any damage or loose plugs before you go chasing ghosts.
