Interesting, thanks! When your speech recognition cut out, did it also throw an error code? And did your microphone completely stop working, or was it just intermittent? I'm trying to figure out if it's worth trying to troubleshoot more myself, or if I should just bite the bullet and take it in.

Yeah, mine eventually got to the point where it wasn't working at all. And yes, there was an error code too, although I can't remember exactly what it said. Honestly, I tried a few things, but nothing really fixed it long-term. I think you're probably right about the infotainment system. Bit annoying, but probably best to get it checked out by someone who knows what they're doing.

Just wanted to let you know how it went. Took it to the workshop, and you were right, it was the infotainment system. Cost a pretty penny, 815€ to fix. But at least the hands-free is working again. Thanks for the help!

Hmm, that's odd. I had a similar Bluetooth issue in my Mini One, although I don't know if it's exactly the same. The speech recognition would just cut out out of nowhere. Have you tried adjusting the volume control while you're on a call? Sometimes that helped me temporarily. Could also be some ambient noise confusing the microphone. Just a thought!
