My 2008 Mini One, a diesel, has developed an issue with its electronic parking brake. The handbrake is completely non-functional, and there's a warning light illuminated in the speedometer. The error memory also stores a brake fault. From what I've gathered, the electric motor in the brake caliper is likely defective. Does this sound like a reasonable assessment?
