Odor sensor, huh? Where exactly IS that air conditioning sensor located? I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to car repairs, but I'm willing to take a look myself if it's easily accessible.

Yep, it's the air quality sensor affecting the climate control. Honestly, it can be a bit fiddly to get to depending on your comfort level. If you're not super confident, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. It could save you some headaches in the long run. But most likely that is the problem.

Big thanks for the help! Turns out it WAS a faulty connection to the BMW AUC sensor. They cleaned it up and everything's working perfectly again! Cost me 95€, which I'm happy to pay to have my blower back!

I had a similar problem with my Paceman! The climate control was acting up, and the blower motor wouldn't kick in sometimes. Have you checked the air quality sensor? It's also known as the odor sensor. Is the plug connection of the component defective? Maybe you should check the cable before!
