Mini Paceman Diesel Filter Issue

Yeah, the DPF cleaning is a gamble. It might buy you some time, but it's often just delaying the inevitable. Short journeys are definitely bad for the DPF. It needs long runs at higher speeds to properly regenerate. Forcing a regeneration might be an option, but if the filter is already badly clogged, it might not work. And yes, a faulty sensor could definitely be the cause. It might be worth getting a proper vehicle inspection at a workshop to diagnose the root cause before you spend any money. That's what I eventually did with my Megane. They confirmed that the diesel filter was completely shot.

The workshop confirmed that the diesel filter is indeed defective. They also found a sensor fault which likely contributed to the problem. I've approved the replacement, so hopefully, I will be back on the road soon. It will be a costly repair, around 1550€, but it is what it is.
