Hi, thanks for your reply and the tip! My Mini has a mileage of 216543 km. Apart from the screen failure, the rest of the car still works perfectly. Hopefully it's just a cable connection in my case too. Best regards!

The technician at my garage quickly found out and repaired it. Replacing the defective cable connection did cost a little more - just under 180 euros - but the sat nav worked perfectly again afterwards.
