Mini Paceman Smoke and DPF Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Mini Paceman with 77,390 km is experiencing a warning light on the speedometer, smoke during acceleration, and an inability to regenerate the DPF. The suspected cause is the exhaust back pressure sensor. Replacing the sensor resolved the smoke and DPF issues.

Pressure sensor, you say? Where is that located, and is it a difficult replacement? I'm wondering if it is something I can do myself. How much did you end up paying for the repair?

Yep, turned out to be the exhaust pressure sensor for me too. I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself unless you really know what you're doing. I took mine to a workshop, and they sorted it pretty quickly. Better to be safe than sorry when it comes to exhaust stuff.

Got the exhaust back pressure sensor replaced. Cost me 245€. Seems to have fixed the smoke and the DPF issue. Thanks for the help.

Sounds familiar. I had similar issues with my Paceman. Smoke on acceleration and the DPF light was always on. Have you checked the pressure sensor? I'd start with a vehicle diagnostics. It could be the exhaust sensor. Is the car running rough?
