Mini Paceman Transmission Issue Resolved
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Mini Paceman diesel was experiencing transmission issues, with the transmission indicator and check engine lights illuminated, and the vehicle in emergency mode with erratic shifting and grinding noises. The error memory suggested a potential issue with the radiator oil pressure, possibly due to a defective cable or plug connection. The problem was resolved by fixing a faulty connection on the pressure sensor, which was a simple repair costing 95€.

Interesting. When you say oil cooler, are you referring to the lines running to the radiator for cooling system? Or was it specifically the pressure gauge or pressure sensor itself that gave you trouble?

Yeah, the oil cooler lines to the radiator. It messed with the pressure sensor reading, like a bad thermostat telling the system lies. Honestly, I’d get it checked at a workshop to be sure. Save yourself the headache.

Problem resolved. As suspected, it was a faulty connection on the pressure sensor. Radiator repair was simple enough, just needed the connection fixed. Total cost was 95€. Thanks for your input.

Whoa, sounds rough! I had something similar happen with my Paceman. The gearbox was acting all kinds of crazy. Transmission light was on, felt like driving a tractor. Have you checked the oil cooler? That's where my gremlins were hiding.
