Mini Roadster Blower Motor and AUC Sensor Issues

My 2014 Mini Roadster is giving me headaches. The blower motor is dead, and the diagnostic tool is showing an AUC sensor fault. Given that the air conditioning sensor is also called HVAC sensor or odor sensor, could this air quality sensor really be the culprit? I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone experienced this before? Is it plausible that the HVAC system shuts down completely because of a faulty AUC sensor?

I also drive a Mini Roadster and had a similar problem. If I remember correctly, the AUC sensor can cause this. Have you checked the wiring?

Could you be a bit more specific? Where exactly should I check? Is there anything in particular to look for?

Yes, it was the same for me. I had the connection checked at the workshop. It was corroded. They cleaned it, but it didn't last. Therefore, they replaced the connector. Since then everything has been fine. I would have the wiring and plug checked by a professional. It could save you some trouble.

It was indeed a defective connection to the AUC sensor. The Mini specialist confirmed this and replaced the faulty connector. The blower now works again. The air quality sensor itself seems fine. Total damage: 95€. Thanks for the tip!
