Mini Roadster Cold Start Problems
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Mini Roadster was experiencing poor engine performance during cold starts, suspected to be due to a defective cold start injector. The issue manifested as engine misfire until the vehicle warmed up. After considering an injector cleaning service, it was confirmed through diagnostics that the injector was faulty. Replacing the cold start injector resolved the problem.

When you say "similar", are you referring to the engine misfire during cold starts? What exactly did you do to resolve the issue? Was it also a defective injector?

Yes, exactly the same symptoms: engine misfire on cold start. I tried injector cleaning first, but that didn't fix the problem. In the end, I took it to a workshop. They ran some tests and told me the injector was faulty. If you suspect a defective injector, I would advise taking it to a mechanic. It will save you time and money in the long run.

Thank you for confirming my suspicions. After an injector test at the workshop, it was determined that the cold start injector was indeed faulty. The unit has now been replaced at a cost of 515€. The cold start problems are resolved.

Wow, that sounds like a real headache! I had something similar happen with my Mini (though it's not a Roadster). It was really rough starting up in the morning, especially when it was cold. The whole car would shake! Could it be the fuel injection system? I'm no expert, but did you check that?
