Mini Roadster damping adjustment error

Alright, so I've got a bit of a head-scratcher with my 2012 Mini Roadster diesel. It's got 193326 km on the clock, and I'm getting an error related to the damping adjustment. The speedometer shows a warning light, and the ride is noticeably bumpier than usual. From what I've gathered, it could be a dodgy cable or plug connection somewhere in the system. Anyone else experienced something like this, and is it likely to be the shock absorber?

Whoa, sounds familiar! I had something similar happen with my Mini Roadster too, though mine's a bit older. The ride got super bumpy, and the handling was terrible. Did you notice any difference in how the vehicle suspension felt on different types of roads? Was the suspension tuning affected?

Interesting, so you're saying it could very well be a connection issue? When it happened to you, where exactly was the defective plug? I'm wondering if I can maybe check it myself before taking it to the shop.

Yep, the symptoms sound almost identical to what I experienced. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend poking around too much unless you're really comfortable with car electrics. I ended up taking mine to a workshop, and they sorted it out pretty quickly. Best to get it checked by a professional to avoid accidentally making things worse; a suspension failure is a serious issue that affects car handling.

Just wanted to let you know I took the Mini to the workshop. Turns out it was indeed a faulty connection, exactly as the error log suggested. 95€ later, the suspension is back to normal. Thanks for the tip!
