Mini Roadster Engine Stalling Issues

Alright, so I'm having a bit of a nightmare with my 2014 Mini Roadster. The check engine light keeps popping up, and the engine's stalling, especially when idling. Also feels like the engine power is reduced. I'm suspecting it's the fuel rail pressure sensor acting up, giving a faulty sensor signal. Anyone else had this?

Whoa, sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my Mini. Check engine light was on, and the engine sometimes stalled at idle. Have you checked the fuel injection system at all?

Interesting! Was it also the rail pressure sensor signal in your case? And what exactly did you do to fix it? Did you check the diesel engine for issues?

Yup, fuel rail pressure sensor was the culprit for me too. If you aren't comfortable doing it yourself, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. They can properly diagnose it and replace the sensor. Seems like a common problem.

Thanks for the heads up! Turns out it was indeed the fuel rail pressure sensor. Replaced it and the engine is running smoothly again. Cost me about 240€, but worth it to get rid of that check engine light and the engine stalling!
