Mini Roadster Oil Pressure Warning Light

I'm getting a warning light in the speedometer of my 2015 Mini Roadster Diesel, plus the oil pressure warning lamp is lit. I'm thinking it's because I've gone way over the maintenance interval, but is there anything else I should worry about?

Sounds like oil contamination to me. I had a similar thing happen on my Mini Cooper. Was the oil color dark and sludgy? When was your last oil change?

Yeah, the oil color was pretty gnarly when I checked. Like way darker than it should be. How long ago was it for you when you had the issue?

Mine happened after I skipped an oil change interval. The oil pressure light came on, and the engine was running rough. I'd get it to a workshop ASAP, it could seriously damage the engine. They'll probably recommend an oil change and new oil filter to start with.

Took it to the shop and you were spot on. The oil change, new oil filter, and labor came out to 165€. Thanks for the help!
