Alright, so my 2012 Mini Roadster steering column adjustment is playing up. Error's stored, and it won't adjust electrically anymore. Garage reckons it's likely a defective cable or plug. Anyone else had this car steering issue?

Sounds like a similar headache I had with my Audi. The electric steering packed it in, and it turned out to be a dodgy connection. Have you checked the basics, like fuses?

Cheers! Fuses seem okay. When you say 'dodgy connection,' was it obvious or did they have to really dig around to find it?

Nah, wasn't obvious at all. They had to trace the wiring loom back from the steering column. The mechanic mentioned something about CAN bus interference... Anyways, I'd still get it checked at a workshop, could be a mechanical fault too.

Just wanted to let you know that the workshop confirmed it was a faulty plug connection as suspected. 95€ later and the steering column adjusts again! Thanks for the help!
