Mistra audio system failure
Summary of the thread
The audio system in a 2021 Hyundai Mistra electric failed at 168,714 kilometers, despite the fuses and head unit power being intact. The issue was traced to a defective bass speaker causing a short circuit, which disabled the entire system. Distortion at low frequencies and unstable Bluetooth connections were initial symptoms. The problem was resolved by replacing the faulty speaker, costing 280€.

Yeah, I had distortion at low frequencies from the bass speaker, I think. Bluetooth was unstable too, dropping connections. Could that be a speaker problem?

Distortion and Bluetooth issues point to hardware. The bass speaker is a likely cause given the low-frequency distortion. Have the speakers checked at a workshop.

A single speaker causing total failure is rare, but possible. Did you notice distortion or Bluetooth issues beforehand? Knowing about sound quality helps.
