Mistra Transport Mode Software Glitch
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Hyundai Mistra owner experienced an issue where the car was stuck in "transport mode," leading to electrical malfunctions and a non-functional navigation system. Initial troubleshooting, including resetting the infotainment system and checking the key fob battery, did not resolve the problem. The issue was ultimately identified as a software glitch related to the transport mode setting. A visit to the dealership for a software update successfully resolved the problem.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll try the spare key later today. But, I thought transport mode was something deeper than a key fob issue? Doesn't it involve some kind of software setting?

You are right, it probably is something deeper than that! This confirms my initial suspicion and is not as trivial as the key fob being defective. Honestly, if it's a new car, transport mode shouldn’t even be active. I think it's best to take it to the workshop to get them to perform a software update.

Turns out it was a software glitch related to the transport mode setting. The dealership hooked it up to their diagnostics, ran a software update, and it's all sorted. Everything is working perfectly now! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Whoa, that's strange! I've got a Mistra as well, and it sounds kind of similar to something I experienced when I first bought it. Is this a new car for you as well? First thing I'd check is whether something might be blocking the signal from your key fob, or perhaps try the spare key. It sounds stupid I know, but it might just fix it.
