ML tire pressure ABS and steering issues

I eyeballed it, didn't use a gauge. Can a bad tire sensor cause the ABS and steering problems? I thought those were separate. Is a faulty valve in the tire likely?

Yes, it can. The system is interconnected. A failing tire sensor can give incorrect readings, which then interferes with the ABS and power steering. If the tire pressure is actually low, and the valve is defective, then yeah, that will definitely cause issues. I recommend you go to a workshop soon.

I took it to the shop, and you were spot on. A valve was defective, and the tire sensor was sending bad data. Got it fixed for 280€ total. Much appreciated.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my ML. A faulty tire sensor can throw everything off. Did you check the tire pressure with a gauge? Sometimes they look inflated even when they're low enough to trigger the sensor and mess with the ABS.
